Value Partners HK mandate for Asia Pacific fund

Value Partners Hong Kong has received the mandate for managing the investments of US-registered closed-end Asia Pacific Fund from 1 October.
The current asset manager, Baring Asset Management (Asia) ,will continue to manage the fund till the transition date. 
 
Timothy TSE, chief executive officer, Value Partners  said,  “We are honored to have been chosen as the investment manager for this long-standing and reputable fund, following a comprehensive selection process by the fund’s board of directors. “
 
Barings has been managing the close-ended fund ever since its inception in 1987.
The fund listed on the New York Stock Exchange seeks to invest primarily in equity securities in Asia Pacific countries excluding Japan.
 
As of 30 June, the close-ended fund’s assets stood at US$115 million.
