Rajeev Mittal named CEO of Eastspring Investments

Mittal replaces Bill Maldonado, who is retiring.

Prudential plc has today announced the appointment of Rajeev Mittal, as chief executive officer (CEO) for Prudential’s asset management business, Eastspring Investments.

The appointment is effective 1 July 2025. Based in Singapore, Mittal (pictured) will report to Prudential CEO Anil Wadhwani and will join the Prudential group executive committee.

Current CEO, Bill Maldonado, will retire and return to the UK, where his family has been living for the past four years.

He will continue to be an adviser to the business until the end of September and will also continue to serve as a board member of ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company Limited.

Mittal has over 30 years of asset management experience in Asia and Europe. Most recently, he was managing director and head of Asia at Fidelity International, leading the growth in the Asia Pacific & Middle East (excluding Japan) markets.

Prior to Fidelity, Mittal spent 26 years at AIG and PineBridge Investments, initially as an investor before serving as CEO of PineBridge Europe and later CEO of PineBridge Asia Pacific.
