Peakhouse name new CEO amid office expansion

Berry Wong is appointed group CEO of the Hong Kong multi-family office.

The multi-family office (MFO), Peakhouse, has appointed Berry Wong as group CEO, effective immediately.

As group CEO, Wong will lead and unify the firm’s teams across three strategic hubs — Hong Kong, Chengdu, China, and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam — driving operations, regional expansion, and client-centric innovation, according to a statement by the MFO.

Wong (pictured) commented: “We recognise the increasingly vital role of family offices in today’s rapidly evolving and unpredictable global landscape.”

Wong has over three decades of experience as CEO for Asia Pacific at Charles Monat Associates. His expertise spans insurance, trust, wealth planning, and family governance. He led the company’s expansion and growth in mainland China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Singapore.

Before joining Charles Monat Associates, Wong was Asia regional head of wealth planning at BNP Paribas, where he led both the wealth planning and philanthropy teams. Earlier he was a senior director in the wealth planning division at HSBC.

Meanwhile, Peakhouse has expanded its Hong Kong office in Standard Chartered Bank Building, Central.

Harold Suriawinata, head of investment, Peakhouse, said: “The office expansion marks a significant milestone, reflecting our rapid business growth and unwavering confidence in Hong Kong’s role as a nexus for family offices and a vital connector to global markets. We are especially excited about enhancing collaboration with our offices in Chengdu and Ho Chi Minh City.”

By fostering greater synergy with its offices in Chengdu and Ho Chi Minh City, Peakhouse aims to better serve the growing bourgeoisie and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients looking to establish their presence in these vibrant markets, according to the firm.
