Singh was previously heading the firm’s Australia and New Zealand operations and was based in the Melbourne office.
Madeleine Senior, head of business development for asset servicing business in Europe, Middle East and Africa, will take charge of Singh’s role in Australia and New Zealand.
Both appointments will be effective from 1 September.
Singh will be responsible for driving the firm’s asset servicing and asset management business activities across Southeast Asia, focusing on institutional investors.
Before his position in Melbourne, Singh was the head of asset servicing sales for Asia-Pacific and was based in Singapore.

Northern Trust has nine offices across Asia-Pacific, in Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and South Korea.
