Nordea Asset Management (NAM) said today that 12 of its funds will be made available for retail distribution in Singapore via licensed financial intermediaries and distributors in the Lion City.
This follows the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) recognising the Luxembourg domiciled funds for retail distribution in Singapore.
Previously available to only institutional and accredited investors in Singapore, they are NAM’s first retail registered funds in Asia Pacific.
NAM’s flagship investment strategies, include equities, thematic equities, fixed income and multi-asset asset classes.
“We are confident these strategies will be able to better address the ever-evolving investment needs and preferences of Singapore’s mass affluent and retail segments, and help investors better navigate their search for returns in today’s dynamic and complex investment landscape,” said Ana Dhoraisingam, chief executive officer of NAM SG and head of Asia-Pacific distribution ex-Japan, in a statement.
The announcement comes slightly more than six months after Nordea Asset Management Singapore Pte. Ltd. received its Capital Markets Services License (CMS) by the MAS in July 2023.
Last year, NAM opened its ESG hub in Singapore, which supplements its local sales presence (established in 2018) and is fully integrated with its ESG-focused internal investment boutiques and complete investment team.
The 12 funds now available to retail investors in Singapore include:
