Based in Hong Kong, Kwang will be a part of Neuberger Berman Global Real Estate Securities Group, which invests primarily in real estate investment trusts.
The company said this is a new role created to increase capabilities for the team in the “important and growing” Asian real estate market.
Neuberger Berman manages over $2bn in real estate securities for institutions and individuals worldwide.
Nick Hoar, head of Asia Pacific, said “Anton’s hire reflects our plans to expand the firm’s real estate offerings worldwide”.
Kwang was a lead Asia Pacific portfolio manager for Standard Life Investments’ global real estate funds. He was also a senior portfolio manager in Asia for Australian fund manager Perennial Investment Partners. His other stints include various roles at ABN Amro Bank, UBS Warburg, and NatWest Securities.
In April, the investment manager expanded its fund range, making available three and 11 of its fund range to the retail market in Singapore and Hong Kong, respectively. Following this initiative, it also strengthened its marketing and sales team in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taiwan offices.
Neuberger Berman manages assets worth $247bn in client assets as of March 31.
