Morningstar appoints managing director for southeast Asia

Shihan Abeyguna takes on the role in addition to his current responsibilities as head of business development for Asia and regional leader for southeast Asia.

Morningstar has appointed Shihan Abeyguna to the newly created role of managing director for southeast Asia in addition to his current role as head of business development for Asia and regional leader for southeast Asia.

Abeyguna will continue reporting to Julie Willoughby, head of global sales at Morningstar.

“Abeyguna will step into the leadership position to further strengthen Morningstar’s presence in Southeast Asia and to provide business insights that inform our strategic development,” said Willoughby.

Abeyguna has been with Morningstar for a decade and a half, having started his career in Chicago as product manager.
