Morningstar has appointed Jackie Choy as director for passive investment ratings within global manager research.
Choy was previously director of exchange-traded fund research for Asia. He continues to be based in Hong Kong.
In his new role, Choy will be responsible for the overall leadership of Morningstar’s global research and Morningstar analyst rating assignments for passive investment strategies.
He reports to Christopher Traulsen, Morningstar’s director of ratings within global manager research.
Prior to joining Morningstar, he worked as an investment analyst covering Hong Kong real estate securities for Cohen and Steers. Before joining Cohen and Steers in 2010, he was a research analyst for Nomura and Lehman Brothers, covering Hong Kong and China real estate securities.
