Eastspring Investments has appointed Lucrecia Tam as its Singapore-based director for the chief investment officer (CIO) office. Reporting to Virginie Maisonneuve, the firm’s CIO, she is responsible for providing investment management support across asset classes, including the firm’s equity, fixed income, asset allocation, private equity, infrastructure and onshore investment offerings. BNP Paribas Mutual Fund, the Indian arm of BNP Paribas Asset Management, has appointed Ritesh Jain as its chief investment officer. In his new role, he will report to Anand Shah, deputy CEO and head of investments, and will be responsible for leading a team of investment professionals managing a range of funds across different asset classes. The Luxembourg Finance Labelling Agency has launched a label for green bonds, which will be granted to eligible instruments that finance green projects. Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission has suspended Wu Biwei, a former responsible officer and managing director of iStar International Futures (now known as Rifa Futures), for six months. The disciplinary action follows the regulator’s sanctions against iStar over its failure to comply with anti-money laundering regulatory requirements when processing third party fund transfers in 2014…

Hong Kong Digital Assets Exchange, a platform that supports the trade of virtual and digital assets, has been launched in the SAR and is open to around 100 countries. It is Hong Kong’s only independent legal digital asset exchange centre entity that the government has issued with a financial services licence, the firm said in a statement. The exchange centre mainly focuses on providing professional services such as distributing, trading, consumption spending and payment services for digital assets…
