After two years, the Bangkok asset manager's CEO is leaving.

Surashate Sriwattanakulwong has said that he will be stepping down as chief executive officer of KWI Asset Management, effective 1 September 2024.

In a note, he wrote: “It has been an honour to lead KWI Asset Management and to work alongside such talented and dedicated professionals. I am grateful for the trust and support you have extended to me during my tenure.”

Although he is leaving his current position at the Thailand asset manager, he looks forward “to staying connected and to continuing our relationship in a new capacity”.

Sriwattanakulwong has been CEO of KWI AM for two years. Previously, he was chief investment officer at DAOL Investment, and before that he was CEO of XSpring.

Sriwattanakulwong could not be reached for comment, but a spokesperson for KWI AM told FSA that “the board of directors has appointed the CIO [Zishu Liu] to serve as acting CEO while we are in the process of recruiting a new CEO”.
