KGI names Raymond Yeung as MD of wealth management 

Raymond Yeung is hired as managing director of wealth management for the China market.

KGI today announced the appointment of Raymond Yeung as managing director of wealth management for the China market.

Based in Hong Kong, Yeung will lead KGI’s wealth management business in China, driving client acquisition and team development to capture opportunities in the Greater China region, according to a statement by the firm.

Yeung (pictured) will report to James Wey, head of international wealth management.

In his new role, Yeung will execute a growth-focused strategy, including expanding high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) client coverage across Greater China, enhancing cross-border wealth solutions to meet the rising demand for global asset allocation and collaborating with the advisory team to deliver customized wealth and investment solutions

Yeung added:“I look forward to leveraging KGI’s regional expertise and network to deliver best-in-class, customised wealth and investment solutions to our clients across Greater China.”

With over two decades of wealth management experience, Yeung has held senior roles at several global financial institutions. Most recently, he was head of the sales team at China Merchants Bank International, where he led the private banking team. His previous positions include leadership roles at Pictet, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, DBS Bank, and BOCI, where he specialised in serving HNW and UHNW clients.

Yeung is a committee member of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong, a founding director of the Chinese Academy of Governance (HK) Industrial and Commercial Professionals Alumni Association Limited, and the deputy secretary-general of the Fujian CPPCC (Provincial) Members Association Limited.

KGI has been a financial institution in Asia since 1997, covering wealth management, brokerage, fixed income, and asset management.
