JPMAM appoints China CEO

Desiree Wang is a replacement for Eddy Wong, who has been appointed Apac head of institutional business.

JP Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM) has appointed Desiree Wang as chief executive officer for the firm in China, effective immediately.

She is a replacement for Eddy Wong, who has been appointed Asia Pacific head of institutional business.

In her new role, Wang will focus on fully integrating JPMAM’s China business. Wang joined the firm in 2008 and most recently served as China country head. She will continue to be based in Shanghai and report to Dan Watkins, Asia Pacific chief executive officer.

“Desiree’s long and distinguished track record as a senior leader – including establishing significant onshore presence and relationships with clients and regulators – make her ideally positioned to spearhead our China team from here, where she will harness the resources and capabilities of our global organization to support the full integration of our China business,” said Watkins.
