JP Morgan AM adds in private bank distribution

US bank also adds Southeast Asia head in private bank.

JP Morgan Asset Management has hired Dennis Yang as head of Hong Kong private bank distribution.

Based in Hong Kong, he joined on Monday and reports to Elisa Ng, head of Hong Kong for JP Morgan Asset Management.

He will be leading the firm’s Hong Kong private bank distribution team, working alongside the firm’s Singapore private banking team to deepen client relationship and curate solutions to meet the evolving needs of private bank distributors.

He has more than 10 years of experience in the wealth and asset management industry and most recently worked at Credit Suisse as a director, where he delivered both discretionary and advisory mandate solutions provided by Credit Suisse’s private banking and asset management divisions to private banking clients.

He has also worked at UBS and National Australia Bank.

Meanwhile, JP Morgan Private Bank has hired Joe Caceres as executive director and team lead covering Southeast Asia. Based in Singapore, he reports to James Wey, head of Singapore and Southeast Asia.

He was most recently head of investment solutions at SCB Julius Baer, the Swiss private bank’s wealth management joint venture in Thailand with Siam Commercial Bank, where he was responsible for the buildout, growth strategy and management of SCB Julius Baer’s international investment offering.

He previously worked in HSBC’s private bank for more than 13 years as well as in Deutsche Bank’s loan exposure management and credit risk management team.
