Under his new role at the Australia-based asset management firm, Pedley will be responsible for expanding the firm’s investor base throughout Asia.
Pedley previously worked at HSBC Private Bank in Hong Kong, where he managed $90bn in assets for clients.
According to his Linkedin profile, Pedley was the head of investment strategy for Asia at HSBC Private Bank between August 2013 and April 2016, when he sat on the global investment committee that determines the bank’s investment policy.
Prior to that, Pedley was HSBC’s head of investment strategy for North Asia, where he was in charge of macroeconomic strategy for the bank’s clients.
He has 20 years of experience in Asian financial markets. Prior to HSBC, Pedley was a managing director, head of advisory services, at LGT Bank in Hong Kong and head of investment strategy at UBS Wealth Management Australia.
