Sohn has been with the firm since 2009 and previously was part of the multi-asset team in London.
In his new role, Sohn will work closely with M&G’s fund management, client service and distribution teams, giving greater access to investment knowledge, fund updates and views from fund management teams in London.
He reports to Andrew Hendry, managing director for Asia.
“With his deep understanding of fund investments and extensive client experience in the Asia markets, Jeik [Sohn] will help ensure that M&G continues to present investment solutions and market insights tailored to the needs of our clients in Asia,” Hendry added.
Currently, the firm has investment professionals based in London, covering equities, fixed income, multi asset and property.
On 31 March, the firm had $400bn in assets under management in equities, bonds, property and multi asset products.
