Henderson Global launches five funds in Singapore

Over the next five years, the firm intends to increase the source of assets under management from Asia to 15% of total from the current 3%, double regional headcount and develop local products, Alexander Henderson, managing director of Asia, told Fund Selector Asia.

The firm’s five newly-registered funds are in the Henderson Horizon Fund range:

The Japanese Smaller Companies Fund with share classes A2 JPY/hedged USD/hedged SGD. The fund has been in operation since August 1985. The Global Equity Income Fund with share classes A2 USD/hedged SGD and A1 USD/hedged SGD. The fund was incepted in May 2014. The Global High Yield Bond Fund with A2 USD share class. The fund has been in operation since November 2013. The Euro High Yield Bond Fund with A2 EUR and A1 EUR share classes. The fund was launched in November 2012. The Emerging Market Corporate Bond Fund with A2 USD share class. The fund has had a track record since November 2014.

Singapore-based fund manager Yun-Young Lee has been managing the Henderson Horizon Japanese Smaller Companies Fund since May 2005.

The Henderson Horizon Global Equity Income Fund is managed by Alex Crooke, head of global equity income, along with Andrew Jones and Ben Lofthouse.

The Henderson Horizon Global High Yield Bond, Euro High Yield Bond and Emerging Market Corporate Bond funds are managed by senior members of the global fixed income team.
