Liu has no concerns over the teams of the Schroders and UBS funds, as both offerings are managed by experienced fund managers who have ample support from analysts and researchers.
The Schroders fund is managed by Louisa Lo, who is also the firm’s head of Greater China equity investments. She started leading the strategy in 2015 and has 26 years of investment experience, according to Liu.
She is supported by a sizable 30-member team. The team had some turnover last year, Liu said, but noted that this should not be a huge concern.
“Though the team may have some difficulties, we are not worried about the strategy as it has run for a couple of market cycles with success,” Liu said.
The UBS fund is managed by Bin Shi, who has led the fund since 2010. Shi has 27 years of investment experience and is supported by an eight-member analyst team.
“He has gone through different market cycles and has outperformed the index and peers consistently,” Liu said.
