The Miton fund has ongoing charges (OCF) of 1.72%, while the Schroder fund’s OCF is 1.66%, according to data from FE Analytics.
Both products are cheaper than peer funds that have regulatory approval in Hong Kong. The peer median for SFC-authorised funds in Hong Kong is 1.8%, according to FE.
“The small difference between the fees of both funds is due to the increased size of the Schroders fund at £1.4bn ($1.81bn),” which has led to cheaper fees than the £680m Miton product, McDermott said.
