Manager review
Christopher Blake and Martin Flood manage the Lazard US Equity Concentrated Fund, along with various other US equity strategies. Both have more than 20 years of investment experience and have been at Lazard since the mid-1990s, according to McDermott.
Blake took over this fund’s helm and implemented his approach in May 2012, but he has overseen its SMA equivalent since August 2003. Blake also covers consumer stocks for the central analyst team. Comanager Martin Flood focuses on trading and client communications.
The managers are supported by a stable and experienced group of 25 analysts, who have an average two decades in the industry and 14 years at Lazard.
Taymour Tamaddon started his T Rowe Price career in 2004, becoming a healthcare analyst, and then took charge of the US Large Cap Growth Equity product in January 2017. He is a vice president and member of the Investment Advisory Committees for a wide range of US mandates at the asset manager.
Tamaddon is backed by a large analyst bench, which is provides particularly strong coverage of the technology and communications sectors.
Prior to moving to T Rowe Price, Tamaddon worked as a consultant specialising in the energy industry and, “more relevantly, at Amazon in the finance and merchandising department which involved interaction with Jeff Bezos,” said McDermott.
