FE Analytics has given the Invesco fund a five-crown rating, while the JP Morgan fund receives four crowns.
The crown-rating methodology assesses the fund’s alpha, volatility and consistency of performance.
Ng said he likes both funds, citing consistency in their investment processes as well as experienced managers and good quality teams.
Ng said he believes that in today’s volatile market environment, the Invesco fund will serve investors better given that it has better downside protection.
However, investors who are willing to bet on the longer-term growth prospects in Greater China might find the JP Morgan fund more attractive.
