Manager review

The lead fund manager for the Fidelity Fund is Angel Agudo, who has been managing the fund since June 2014 following former manager Adrian Brass’ departure. However, Agudo has managed the Fidelity American Special Situations Fund, a mirror fund domiciled in the UK, since 2012, according to Tsymbaluk.

Agudo has around 13 years of investment experience. He joined Fidelity in 2005. He is supported by 18 analysts dedicated to covering the US equity market. Those analysts also support three other portfolio managers, she added.

The lead manager for the Loomis Sayles fund is Aziz Hamzaogullari, who is also the lead portfolio manager of the Loomis Sayles Growth Fund and the Natixis Actions US Growth Fund, according to Tsymbaluk.

Although the fund was incepted in 2016, she explained that he also manages a mirror fund domiciled in the UK, the US Equity Leaders Fund, since 2013.

In addition, although the UK-based fund was launched in 2013, Hamzaogullari has been using the same process with largely the same team since 2006, initially at Evergreen Investment Management and since 2010 at Loomis Sayles, according to Tsymbaluk.
