The Fidelity fund’s FE rating, which measures alpha, volatility and consistency of returns over the past three years, is three crowns. FE gives the Investec fund two crowns.
Ng likes both funds, citing clear strategies and the experience of both managers and their teams.
“So it depends on the preference of the investor,” he said.
“If investors are looking for a global equity portfolio with a strong bias toward developed markets, then the Fidelity fund is worth considering.”
For investors looking for a more diversified portfolio that includes a reasonable portion of emerging market investments, then the Investec fund may be the more suitable product to consider, he said.
