HEAD-TO-HEAD: Fidelity vs Investec
FSA compares two global equity funds: the Fidelity World Fund and the Investec Global Strategic Equity Fund.
Jeremy Podger has been managing the Fidelity fund since June 2014. He first joined the firm in 2012 and also manages the Fidelity Global Special Situations Fund, according to Ng. Podger has been managing global portfolios since 2000.
Podger is supported by the firm’s 150 research analysts located in markets globally, Ng added.
The Investec fund has been managed by Mark Breedon since 2003. Besides managing the fund, Breedon has also been managing the four-factor global equity team, which is comprised of 10 people, according to Ng.
Ng said he has no concerns with the managers, adding that both are experienced in managing global equity funds and are well-resourced.
