HEAD-TO-HEAD: Columbia Threadneedle vs Fidelity
FSA compares the Threadneedle (Lux) Global Asset Allocation Fund with the Fidelity Growth & Income Fund.
The Fidelity fund is co-managed by Eugene Philalithis and George Efstathopoulos, who assumed their roles in January 2015. Philalithis is more senior, with 17 years of investment experience, 11 of which are with Fidelity. Efstathopoulos has been with the firm since 2011. This is his first fund manager role.
The Threadneedle fund has been run by lead manager Maya Bhandari since 2016. She joined the firm in 2014 and has 10 years of investment management experience. Her team includes three other members: Alex Lyle, Dave Chappell and Neil Robson. Although Bhandari is relatively new in her role, the other team members have significant tenure with the firm and on the mixed-asset team, Ng said.
