The Bosera fund receives a five-star Morningstar rating, while the E Fund product gets a three-star rating.
Morningstar’s star rating looks at historical risk-adjusted performance. The analyst rating, which is a forward-looking analysis of the fund, is not available in China, according to Wu.
Wu prefers the Bosera fund over the E Fund product, given the Bosera fund’s longer experience in managing the fund as well as the lower volatility.

Investors should remember that the two funds are the highest risk products within Morningstar’s aggressive bond category, Wu added.
