The Artemis fund is co-managed by Jacob de Tusch-Lec and James Foster, who have been managing the product since 2012, according to McDermott. Tusch-Lec manages the equities portion of the fund, while Foster is in charge of the product’s fixed income sleeve.
Both are experienced managers: Tusch-Lec has been managing funds since 2005 and has been in the industry since 1998, while Foster has around 20 years of fixed income experience and joined Artemis in 2005.
Turning to the Seneca fund, McDermott said that it is run by a team of five, led by chief investment officer Peter Elston. Elston joined Seneca in 2014 and was appointed as CIO in 2015. The other managers are Richard Parfect, who founded Seneca in 2002 and is responsible for specialist assets; Mark Wright, who is responsible for UK equity research; Tom Delic, who has responsibility for emerging markets, overseas equities and fixed income research, and Gary Moglonie, who works alongside Delic.
McDermott does not have any concerns over both teams, given their stability and experience.
