HEAD-TO-HEAD: Artemis versus Seneca
FSA compares two global multi-asset income products: the Artemis Monthly Distribution Fund and the Seneca Diversified Income Fund

Performance
Although both products have different investment processes, McDermott believes that both are “all-weather” vehicles and have a balanced risk profile.
Both products are top-quartile funds among mixed-asset products in the UK, according to McDermott. In Hong Kong and Singapore, the products have also outperformed their peers on a three-year basis, according to data from FE Analytics.

In terms of volatility, McDermott believes that the Seneca fund should be less volatile as it invests in other funds.
“But neither fund would be considered [especially] volatile,” he added.
