A look at both fund’s volatility:
Ng noted that Invesco’s volatility is lower than JP Morgan’s due to its overweight in consumer staples.

Manager review
Shiao started his career with Invesco in 2002 and was promoted to CIO of Greater China this year. He leads the Greater China team equity strategy, covering Hong Kong, China and Taiwan. He was previously head of equities for Invesco Taiwan.
Shiao started his investment career in 1992 at Grand Regent Investment, where he worked for six years supervising venture capital investments in Taiwan and China. In 1997, he joined Overseas Credit and Securities as a senior analyst covering the Taiwanese technology sector.
Ng noted that Shiao has in total 23 years of investment experience.
“Shiao receives direct support from 10 staff members, eight of whom are covering Hong Kong and China. Among the team, there are sector specialists. As a whole, the team is very experienced,” Ng said.
Wang has led the JP Morgan team since 2005. As head of Greater China, he works closely with four Greater China portfolio managers in Hong Kong as well as a 10-member analyst team in Taiwan.
Ng noted that Wang draws most of his support from his co-manager, Emerson Yip. The pair has been working together since 2006.
“With close to 20 years experience, Wang is an equally skilled portfolio manager. His long tenure at JP Morgan, combined with a consistent application of his investment philosophy, makes him a reliable manager,” Ng said.
