HEAD-TO-HEAD: Ashmore vs Templeton
FSA compares two global emerging market bond funds: the Ashmore Sicav Emerging Markets Total Return Fund and the Templeton Emerging Markets Bond Fund.
The Ashmore fund has higher ongoing charges (OCF) than the Templeton fund and its peer group.
The Ashmore fund has a management fee of 0.85% and an OCF of 1.25%, while the Templeton fund’s management fee is 0.75% and an OCF of 1.02%.
The peer OCF median is 1.05%, according to Broussard.
