The fund will invest in equity or equity-related securities and will provide investors with access to all Chinese investment channels, including Hong Kong listed securities, China companies and domestic A-share stocks via the stock connects, said the asset manager.
The fund will be managed by Yannan Chenye, portfolio manager and head of China research at Harvest.
According to the firm, the fund’s strategy is “alpha-driven” combining “bottom-up fundamental research with top-down sector allocation and proprietary risk management to exploit market inefficiencies”.
The fund will also aim to will capitalise on structural economic changes, investing in Chinese companies in the technology, alternative energy, and healthcare sectors.
