GAM Investments appoints head of distribution for Japan

Takakiyo Iwamoto has joined GAM Investments as head of distribution for Japan, effective 2 October.

GAM Investments has appointed Takakiyo Iwamoto as head of distribution for Japan, effective 2 October.

Prior to joining GAM Investments, Iwamoto spent two-and-a-half years with Barclays Securities Japan as senior sales manager, where he oversaw the development of quantitative investment strategies for big financial institutions.

He was also previously senior sales executive at State Street Global Advisors (Japan) for two years and worked for JP Morgan Securities Japan for five years. He has also held senior roles at Deutsche Bank Securities in Japan, BNP Paribas Tokyo, Zurich Capital Markets Japan and Mitsui & Co.
