Franklin Templeton Investments has appointed Alan Young to head its institutional business in Greater China.
Young will be based in Hong Kong and will report to David Chang, regional head for Greater China. He will be responsible for overseeing the distribution of Franklin Templeton’s institutional products in Greater China.

Young has 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, including 10 years in institutional business development roles. Prior to joining Franklin Templeton, Young served for two years as head of institutional sales at Schroder Investment Management in Hong Kong.

Prior to that, he was head of sales, North Asia, for State Street Global Advisors Asia. He also held various positions at Goldman Sachs (Asia), Merrill Lynch (Asia Pacific) and HSBC.

“We continue to see a growing demand for our products from institutional investors in Greater China,” Chang said. “Alan’s solid experience and track record with institutional clients will ensure that Franklin Templeton is in a firm position to capture future opportunities in the region.”
