Eastspring poaches four to boost equities team

Eastspring Investments has bolstered its equity investment team in Asia with four appointments.

Bonnie Chan joins the team as a portfolio manager for the Asian Infrastructure Fund. In her role, she will be part of the regional Asia focus team. Chan previously held senior analyst positions for transportation and infrastructure at Jefferies and at Macquarie Equity Research.

Mandeep Sachdeva joins Eastspring as a portfolio manager on the global emerging markets Asia team. He has 11 years experience as an equity analyst covering Asian and European equity markets, most recently at Fidelity in London.

Arthur Kadish joins Eastspring as a portfolio manager. He will also be part of the regional Asia focus team. Kadish has eight years of investment experience in Asian equity research and portfolio management. Prior to Eastspring, Kadish was an Asian equity analyst and partner at Primrose Capital Management in Shanghai.

Shea Pei Shee joins the company as a portfolio manager. She will be part of the equity income focus team. Shea was previously an investment director at Leedon Capital Group where she managed absolute return, long-only portfolio focusing on public equities in the Asia Pacific (ex-Japan) region.

“Attracting and retaining the best talent in the market is a key priority for us as part of our growth plans,” said Kevin Gibson, the firm’s chief investment officer for equities.

Eastspring Investments is the Asian investment management arm of Prudential. Eastspring’s equity team currently manages $30bn in assets. It is overseen by portfolio managers that are aligned by strategy type into focus teams.
