Eastspring Investments has appointed Faizal Gaffoor as deputy regional CEO and head of products and partnerships.
Gaffoor joined Eastspring in December, reporting to Wendy Lim, regional CEO for Asia and global head of distribution, marketing and products. Based in Singapore, he will be responsible for the growth of the Eastspring franchise in Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam, and for the delivery of regional product strategies for retail and institutional businesses.
Gaffoor has over 25 years’ experience in asset management and was most recently managing director and group chief marketing officer for UOB Asset Management. Prior to that, he was with Citibank’s regional investment products and distribution team.
“Faizal has a strong track record in driving business performance across both intermediary and institutional businesses regionally, and his deep understanding of multiple distribution channels and strength in building relationships will be key as we execute on our growth plans for 2023 and beyond,” said Lim.
