DBS names wealth management deputy head

DBS Bank has appointed Pearlyn Phua as its deputy group head of consumer banking and wealth management in Singapore.

Phua will assume her role from 1 January, 2016.

At present, Phua is the managing director and head of consumer banking group and wealth management at DBS Bank in Hong Kong. She will be relocating to Singapore. In her new role, she will be reporting to Tan Su Shan, group head of consumer banking and wealth management.

Phua has been with DBS Bank since 2003 and has taken on various leadership roles within the bank, including head of DBS iBanking and regional head of DBS Treasuries.

“Pearlyn gamely took on the role of DBS Hong Kong’s consumer banking head in 2012, and under her leadership, our consumer banking and wealth franchise has performed well,” Tan said.

DBS noted in a statement that Phua’s successor would be unveiled at a later date.
