Citi taps DBS for Asia South head of wealth

Yeo Wenxian will also become chief executive officer of Citibank Singapore.

Citi has appointed Yeo Wenxian (Wen) as its new head of wealth for Asia South, effective 1 November, according to an internal memo seen by FSA.

She will also become chief executive officer of Citibank Singapore Ltd. subject to regulatory approval, and will report directly to Andy Sieg, Cit’s head of wealth.

In her role, Yeo (pictured) will have responsibility for Citigold, Citigold Private Client and Cards in Asia South and the UAE.

Yeo, a Singapore national, joins Citi after 13 years at DBS, most recently as head of treasures Singapore with responsibility for both onshore and offshore businesses and clients.

She previously worked as the head of retail customer segment, head of POSB and head of distribution. Yeo was also Singapore chief operating officer at DBS and a member of the strategic advisory team within DBS’s institutional banking group.

She started her career in 2000 in J.P. Morgan’s investment banking division after graduating from Brown University.

Sieg commented: “With her varied experience in consumer and investment banking, [Yeo] is ideally suited to lead our incredible Asia South and UAE teams – and our clients – to new heights”.
