Citi PB promotes veteran sales head

Koo will remain based in Hong Kong for her new role and report to global head of Citi Investment Management (CIM).

“[Koo’s] experience as head of sales for Apac provides a strong foundation for her expanded global role,” said Citigroup in a statement to FSA.

“Her extensive experience and knowledge of the asset management industry, strategic sales planning and communication skills will be invaluable to CIM’s continued success,” the statement continues.

CIM is the global investment management arm of Citi Private Bank. 

As a part of CIM’s leadership team, Koo will be responsible for developing new manager relationships, overseeing existing manager relationships and driving the global sales and marketing efforts for the company’s third-party business across all client segments globally.

Koo joined Citi in 2018, and boasts over 20 years heading institutional business units at UBS Asset Management, HSBC Global Asset Management and Fidelity. 

Fullerton Fund Management

Separately, the Singapore fund house announced the appointment of Angus Hui as head of fixed income, effective this week.

Prior to joining Fullerton, Hui was previously the head of credit, Asia at Schroders.

Hui will report to Ken Goh, chief investment officer, and will work closely with Ong Guat Cheng, who will be appointed as Fullerton’s head of Asia fixed income.
