BNP Paribas promotes Bruno Boussard to Taiwan CEO

He replaces Manon Breuvart, who is returning to the Paris office.

BNP Paribas has appointed Bruno Boussard as chief executive officer (CEO) of BNP Paribas SA, Taiwan branches, effective 1 October 2024, subject to regulatory approval.

In this role, Boussard (pictured) will oversee BNP Paribas’ operations in Taiwan, including corporate and institutional banking (CIB), wealth management, asset management, securities and insurance businesses within the group.

He will be based in Taiwan, and reports to Paul Yang, CEO Asia Pacific, BNP Paribas.

Yang commented: “Bruno’s is armed with an excellent understanding of the APAC region; and his proven track record in client support stands him in good stead to lead our Taiwan operations and growth ambitions.”

Boussard was most recently deputy head of group asset liability management treasury, where he led global treasury and CIB steering at BNP Paribas in Paris. His career with BNP Paribas spans over three decades, starting in 1993. Throughout this period, he has held key leadership roles in ALM treasury, and capital markets across New York, Hong Kong and Paris.

Prior to his time at BNP Paribas, Boussard spent many years working in Shanghai and Hong Kong in the areas of international corporate banking and capital markets.

Boussard succeeds Manon Breuvart, who is moving back to Paris to assume the role of head of credit, BNP Paribas Wealth Management, reporting to Vincent Lecomte, CEO of BNP Paribas Wealth Management.
