Allspring Global Investments has hired Sam Lo as sales director for Hong Kong as it seeks to expand its financial institutions presence across the region.
Based in Hong Kong, Lo will report to Priscilla Phoon, head of financial institutions, Apac ex-Japan.
Phoon said: “Sam’s appointment reflects our continued commitment to deepening client engagement and accelerating our expansion across Asia.”
“His proven track record and deep expertise in wholesale will be incredibly valuable as we continue to grow our intermediary business in the region”.
Lo joins the firm from Manulife Investment Management, where he was an associate director of partnership management.
Before that, he held similar roles at Premia Partners and Goldman Sachs Asset Management.
