Manulife integrates digital platform in Singapore

The enhancement will give financial consultants a consolidated view of their clients' holdings.
What do investors want in an online advisory platform?

Manulife Singapore and Manulife Investments today said that its Manulife iFUNDS integrated digital wealth platform in Singapore will provide Manulife financial consultants with a consolidated view of their customers’ unit trust (UT) and investment-linked plan (ILP) holdings.

This enhancement enables UT transactions directly within Manulife iFUNDS, streamlining wealth management services and enhancing efficiency, according to a statement by the firm. The platform was launched in 2018.

The integration eliminates the need for financial consultants to switch between multiple platforms, improving efficiency and enabling them to provide more personalised and effective financial advice.

“By integrating UT and ILP management powered by Manulife Investments into a single platform, we are transforming how our financial consultants serve their customers – bringing deeper insights, higher efficiency, and a more holistic approach to financial planning,” said Khoo Poh Huat, chief distribution officer, Manulife Singapore.

Customers will benefit from Manulife financial consultants’ ability to advise them of potential investment opportunities across their ILP and UT holdings and more easily calculate dividend information for both ILP and UT holdings, according to the statement.

The consultants should also be able to utilise advanced simulation tools such as What-If Analysis and Portfolio Simulator to refine investment recommendations, and track portfolio holdings by asset class, country, and fund.

Hui-Jian Koh, chief executive officer, Singapore, Manulife Investments, said: “Digital platforms like Manulife iFUNDS effectively bridge the gap between technology and human advisory services”.
