HSBC’s Jeffrey Yap departs

Jeffrey Yap was head of investments and wealth solutions for southeast Asia at HSBC Global Private Banking and Wealth.

Jeffrey Yap has left his role as head of investments and wealth solutions for southeast Asia at HSBC Global Private Banking and Wealth.

Yap joined the bank seven years ago, starting as regional head of fixed income before being promoted to regional head of fixed income, commodities and currencies.

He was later appointed head of investment services and the product solutions group for southeast Asia.

Prior to joining HSBC, he was managing director at PAG. He has also worked at chief investment officer at multi-strategy hedge fund Ark One.

He had previous stints at Mizuho Securities, Rabobank, Nomura and CIMB.
