St. James’s Place today announced the launch of Lumina, a new range of multi-asset portfolios designed to provide clients with a simple and cost-effective approach to growing their wealth.

The Lumina portfolios are built on a foundation of lower-cost funds and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and provide investors with exposure to various asset classes, sectors, and regions in a straightforward yet diversified way, according to St. James’s Place. Through smart rebalancing guided by a discretionary approach, these portfolios help clients remain aligned with their long-term investment objectives.

Angelina Lai, chief investment officer at St. James’s Place Asia, said: “In today’s complex financial landscape, many investors seek a simpler path to long-term wealth creation.”

“The Lumina portfolios address this need by offering a diversified, cost-effective solution actively managed by our Asia & Middle East investment committee, through leveraging our house asset allocation views and disciplined process to deliver sustainable performance for our clients.

The portfolios are constructed using fundamental principles including long-term, forward-looking views based on valuations, balancing risk and reward, and diversification.

This approach is meant to ensure that the portfolios are designed to deliver the best possible returns for specific levels of risk tolerance.

Through a selection process which screens an expansive range of lower-cost funds, including over 9,000 ETFs and funds, the portfolios are determined through quantitative and qualitative analysis, considering key criteria such as the manager’s reputation, historical track record, strategy and whether they have proven ability to outperform, according to St. James’s Place.
