Trilake Partners names new CIO

The Singapore-based wealth management firm has appointed Arnulfo de Pala as its new chief investment officer.

In a note to FSA, the firm said the appointment of de Pala is with immediate effect.

It is unclear whether the position is newly-created or if de Pala is replacing a precedessor.

De Pala has worked in the financial services industry for 25 years, according to a statement from the firm. Prior to joining Trilake, he was the CIO and trust officer at East West Bank in the Philippines.

In 2002, he worked at HSBC where he was responsible for marketing, product development and training for the wealth management business. He was later assigned to the British Channel Islands to train the financial advisers of HSBC’s offshore operations.

In 1996, he joined the Union Bank of the Philippines in Manila, where he was trust officer and head of market risk management.

De Pala is also the former president of the CFA Society of the Philippines.

“We are delighted to welcome Arnulfo de Pala in our team and are convinced that he will positively contribute to the high standard and quality of service provided by Trilake,” said Etienne Gounod, board chairman, in the statement.

Singapore-based Trilake Partners is a wealth management firm holding a capital market services licence for fund management under the securities and futures act. The firm provides discretionary and advisory investment management services to qualified private clients and families.
