Overall billionaire wealth in Asia-Pacific was driven by “innovators and disruptors”, according to a report by UBS and PwC.
The wealth of individuals with net worth of between $5m and $30m grew by around 10% in the financial services-dominated economy last year, according to a Wealth-X survey.
Indonesia’s affluent population is forecast to grow annually around 8%, and foreign firms have been moving in.
The global wealth of high net worth individuals rose by 7.5% in 2016, presenting an opportunity for wealth managers and technology firms, according to the Capgemini World Wealth Report 2017.
