State Street Corporation has named executive vice president Jessica Donohue as its new head of global investment insights, sustainability and impact.

Her appointment follows the recent announcement that Rick Lacaille will retire, according to the financial services company.

Donohue will report to Lou Mauiri, State Street’s president, chief operating officer and head of investment services.

In her new role, she will oversee the company’s sustainability efforts, as well as lead and coordinate investment services to bring insights and solutions to deepen relationships with clients.

Donohue has held a variety of senior roles for more than two decades with State Street, including leading Investor Behavior Research at State Street Associates, as part of the firm’s partnership with academia, and then expanding her role to head this group.

She also served as chief innovation officer and head of advisory and information solutions for Global Exchange (now State Street Alpha) and head of performance & analytics for investment services. Most recently, she was the global head of State Street’s Asset Owner segment.
