Mueller joined the private bank from Julius Baer (Singapore), where he was head of investment advisory for Asia.

He is based in Singapore and reports to Alexis Calla, global head of investment strategy, advisory and managed investment.

“In line with our ambition to grow wealth management assets under management, we are actively looking at expanding the team, especially for specialist roles in alternatives, fund selection and advisory,” the bank told Fund Selector Asia.

“Mueller’s vast experience in advisory and with clients in the bank’s footprint makes him an excellent fit to drive the global advisory agenda within our private banking business.”

Mueller’s career stints include various roles at UBS Wealth Management and Credit Suisse, among others.

In an interview in October, Calla told FSA that the private bank’s core business is in Asia and the Middle East and the bank has north of 100 approved fund manager relationships, with a 30:70 mix of international and domestic players, respectively.
