RBC WM hires slew of private bankers in Hong Kong

RBC WM taps HSBC, CS, BNP Paribas, UBS and J. Safra Sarasin for new bankers.

RBC Wealth Management has appointed several new senior private bankers in Hong Kong to support clients in mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and to expand its regional presence in Asia, according to a statement by the Canadian bank.

Angie Chow, executive director, with over two decade years of experience in private banking, and most recently from HSBC Global Private Banking in Hong Kong.

Becky Chu, managing director, has 18 years in the banking industry, having held various roles across commercial, SME and private banking. She joins RBC from Credit Suisse in Hong Kong.

Erica Cheung, executive director, has over 20 years of financial industry experience. Before joining RBC, she held senior positions at BNP Paribas Wealth Management and Bank of Singapore.

Grace Yu, managing director, has two decades of experience in the private banking and financial services industry. She joins RBC from UBS.

Ingrid Lau, managing director, joins RBC following a career of more than two decades at Credit Suisse Private Bank in Hong Kong.

Finally, Roger Kiu, executive director, was previously with J. Safra Sarasin Group and Bank of Montreal. He has over three decades of experience in banking and financial services to RBC.

RBC has been in Hong Kong since 1969 and Singapore since 1975, and its wealth management offering in Asia includes: banking, brokerage, wealth planning, credit, investments, and financial advisory services.
