Mercer appoints Seow Asia Head of Wealth

Mercer, which is in the process of expanding its wealth management services globally, has appointed Steven Seow as head of wealth management in Asia.

Mercer recently introduced the Mercer Advisor Portal, which helps wealth managers, private client asset managers, private banks and financial advisers access, institutional-quality research and analytical tools to help improve the performance of their clients’ assets.

The system was developed as an alternative to strictly quantitative approaches to asset allocation and manager selection.

“Seow’s credentials are very relevant to the expansion of services Mercer is bringing to the wealth market,” said Cara Williams, senior partner and global head of Mercer Investment’s global wealth management business.

Seow will be based in Singapore.

Prior to joining Mercer, he was director of banking and wealth management at Ernst & Young Advisory, where he led the Singapore wealth management team to provide private banks and retail banks in Asia with business advisory services.

He has also worked with Citi Private Bank, IBM Business Consulting, PwC Consulting and Odyssey Financial Technologies.

Part of the Mark Allen Group.
