HEAD-TO-HEAD: MFS versus Morgan Stanley
FSA compares two US equity products: the MFS Meridian US Concentrated Growth Fund and the Morgan Stanley US Advantage Fund.

As fund research firm Morningstar invariably points out it in its individual fund reports, it is critical to evaluate expenses, as they come directly out of returns.
The median ongoing charges figure (OCF) for the 75 North America equity funds available to Hong Kong retail investors is 1.74%, according to FE Fundinfo data. MFS fund’s annual expenses fee of 2.06% is therefore on the high side; in contrast, the Morgan Stanley fund’s OCF is below average at only 1.64%.
