Fidelity shuffles the deck on two emerging market debt strategies

Eric Wong is stepping down as lead portfolio manager for the two strategies, replaced by Paul Greer.

Eric Wong is stepping down as lead portfolio manager for Fidelity International’s Emerging Market Debt fund and its Emerging Market Total Return Debt fund.

He will assume co-manager responsibility for these two strategies. He will continue to be the lead portfolio manager for the Emerging Market Corporate Debt fund and a co-portfolio manager on Asian investment grade portfolios.

Meanwhile, Paul Greer will assume lead portfolio manager responsibility for the two strategies Wong is stepping down from.

There will be no changes to Marton Huebler’s responsibilities, remaining a co-portfolio manager on all emerging market debt strategies.

The changes will be effective on 30 June.

Greer joined Fidelity’s portfolio management team in 2018 as an assistant and subsequently co-portfolio manager. Before that, he was a senior emerging market debt trader having joined Fidelity in 2012.

Wong joined Fidelity in 2012 as a portfolio manager based in Hong Kong. Prior to joining Fidelity, Eric was an emerging market debt portfolio manager at BlackRock.
